Time to look back almost 15 years The lesson of 9/11

A great many of the people now making decisions are from the " Millennial"generation , those born after 2000 . These folks and those born from 1990 on have no real memory of 9/11 and the hit America took. So as they move into leadership positions, they like we did after WWII and Pearl Harbor lack that personal feeling of loss from the sneak attack of 9/11. Many of the reasons 9/11 occurred was because of our feeling of internationalism, we felt the whole world was one body and that we had to think of other countries every time we did something. I think George H.W. Bush strengthened this by building a world wide cooperative war effort in Kuwait. Many then felt we needed the UN or worlds permission to act to defend American interests around the world. This negatively impacted our business power and our power to influence world cultural views. So as we were attacked many in our government felt that we needed to build a coalition. Thankfully George W. Bush acted immediately and mostly alone. We as Americans should understand that since WWI and especially since WWII we paid for and delivered almost all the humanitarian aid in the world , we drove the economies of all countries to a new level, we drove technological improvements. We have been the parent in the relationships of the world. And as such we should have the ability to defend our people, business, etc. around the world without asking for permission. Did mom ever ask permission from you to give you a spanking when you were bad? So I for one will not have an attitude that anything has changed to take away our rights as a country to defend ourselves and put forth our policies. We do not need to be heavy handed but we should be feared in the respect that if you confront the USA you will not be able to win militarily.We are still the most powerful military in the world and we have shown that time and again. And that is because bottom line we are nation built from misfits and scoundrels that like a good fight now and again . We are held together by a pride that we have overcame all the obstacles by hard work and tenacity. So I have a message for Mr. Putin enjoy your time trying to bully us with close air incursions and your aggression to little countries. But when a new President comes in it will be a different day in America and we will not be giving a hoot what the rest of the world thinks , we will again show our talents in every thing we do with a flourish.
Parents take the time to teach your kids and grandkids about 9/11 and how America reacted, they need a sense of pride and they need to know that they live in the Greatest Country in the World. !!!

 Here we go again The Republicans won control of the House this past week. So what is the first press conference they do , they announce two investigations into Hunter Biden Joe Biden and the Biden Family. Now I don’t t disagree that these things need investigation but they didn’t need to announce until they actually had taken over. What did an announcement now do but just make them feel good about themselves. So then Trump announces he is running in 2024. Immediately Biden’s DOJ calls for a special counsel which if they had anything they would have done this long ago. So what was this just another PR ploy to keep the media attacking Trump. No legitimate reason for this and they didn’t even try to deny this.  So what are we as citizens to do ? Stop watching all the talking heads and demand answers to specific questions . McDowell Memo: Apathy 11-14-22

 Today we still do not have a resolution to the control of the House of Representatives. Why we all ask America has never had a worse 2 years by any administration. Could it be no one cares or could it be the media makes us think that it is not fixable. We know longer think of America as a blessed by God endeavor but rather a failed social experiment. Everyday or kids are taught that the history we were taught is a lie , when in fact it is like all history the version the winner put forth. But they don’t teach that the version of the losers are not always accurate For instance , when we here about slavery which was terrible we never hear that almost every slave was originally captured into slavery by other African tribes or that Anerrics outlawed slave ships coming a decade before most of the rest of the world but did not outlaw keeping slaves much to our mistake.  So how do we get back to an America we can be proud of?  First we need to agree that history should be taught with both th

Emergency Services dropping out of our ability to sustain  As many of you know for the last 10 years I have railed against government imposing training standards and equipment standards on small and rural Fire Depts and Emergency / Ambulance Services. We now know see the impact of those increasingly restrictive regulations on local communities in Upstate New York. Many small areas have stopped providing EMS and the slack has had to be taken up by adjoining communities. In some cases the communities have gone to charging which if the medical insurance industry would lower the co pays to a reasonable amount might be somewhat sustainable. But, they haven't and I assume won't unless the state forces them to. On average the co pay is about $350 for basic and $500+ for Advanced care needs. If you are the poor senior citizen living on Social Security in a rural area this could mean the difference between paying the bill and eating for the month.  Fire companys are not excluded fr
